Why do we do this?

At GoozUp we believe that recruiting is a personal matter and that this personal touch is too often missing. The more close people know each other the better they judge if someone fits a job or not. GoozUp makes recruiting a personal matter again by using personal networks.

By the way, research shows that personal references are the most successful recruiting method for employers and the most preferred one for candidates!

Who are we?

GoozUp International B.V. was founded in 2007, and has offices in Eindhoven, the Netherlands (headquarters) and in Paris, France. GoozUp International B.V. is responsible for the operation and development of the GoozUp web sites. GoozUp is working in close collaboration with local business partners to ensure best support for our customers across Europe. Management and founders of GoozUp International B.V. are:

Geurt Jan van Ek, director finance (co-founder)

Geurt Jan spend most of his career IT services (almost 20 years), being part of the management team in sales, technologies, and controller departments. In 1999, Geurt Jan, together with Patrick Koelewijn (also a co-founder of GoozUp), founded Senet B.V. an IT services company. The experiences in IT services were the basis for Geurt Jan's interest in how to get the right people on the right job and keep them satisfied. This eventually resulted in the creation and development of GoozUp.

Geert Immerzeel, director technologies & development (co-founder)

Geert is an experienced software architect with a Master on Information Technology from the University of Wageningen. He has been developing software applications for more than 10 years and has been involved in the development of various internet portals. Geert has successfully realized projects based on various standards with responsibilities for the architecture, the development and the actual implementation. Geert is driving GoozUp's technology strategy and development.

Patrick Koelewijn, director operations (co-founder)

Patrick Koelewijn has a broad experience and extensive know-how of HRM and recruiting. For a number of years he worked for several public listed companies with responsibilities for the operations and management of a staff of technical personnel. In 1999, he founded together with Geurt Jan van Ek (also a co-founder of GoozUp) Senet B.V., an IT services company with several offices across the Netherlands. As recruitment and placement of IT-experts is a major part of an IT Services organization the establishment of GoozUp is a logical step for Patrick.

Wim van Seters, director sales & marketing (co-founder)

Wim has over 15 years international sales and marketing experience in high-tech industries, and worked both for start-ups and multinational corporations such as Intel and Acer. He managed direct and indirect teams focussed on business and sales development across Europe, the Middle-East and Africa. He has a background in software engineering and international product management. Wim lives in Paris, France.

What do we want to achieve?

GoozUp's mission is to provide an international internet based solution, commercialised by a network of decentralised independent partners, which matches demand with talent through mass individual networks.
