Which Recruiter should use GoozUp?

Q: Who should use GoozUp?

A: If you are looking to hire employees, or if you are selecting employees for your customers GoozUp is a service for you. GoozUp enables both corporate recruiters and recruiting companies to identify potential job candidates.

Q: How can I start using GoozUp?

A: Just register by clicking on the 'Join Now' link at the top right corner of the home page. After finalizing the registration you can start posting jobs on GoozUp.

Q: Our Company uses already an internal referral system. What can GoozUp add to this?

A: By using GoozUp you will:

  1. Enlarge the potential base of referrers. On GoozUp everybody can suggest a suitable candidate, on this way you add new and fresh referrers to your referral system.
  2. GoozUp is a complete solution which tracks referrers, their candidates and the hiring process. GoozUp allows you to quickly identify the referrer and the associated costs.

Why should a Recruiter use GoozUp?

Q: What are the advantages of GoozUp?

A: GoozUp offers the following advantages:

  • Access to passive or hidden candidates.
  • Only pre-qualified candidates are proposed
  • No cure no pay.

Q: Can Candidates apply for any job?

A: Candidates cannot direct apply for a job. GoozUp uses a referral model where candidates are proposed by a referrer. Further, as Referrers are rated on the quality of their referrals, GoozUp ensures proper pre-qualification.

Q: How does GoozUp ensure recruiters get qualified candidates?

A: When a referrer proposes a candidate, he/she has to give an assessment on how the candidate qualifies against the job requirements. This allows recruiters to see in a glance which candidates are most qualified for the job.

Further, recruiters give referrers a rating based on the quality of their referral. This rating is based on a 5 star system which is visible for all recruiters. The rating system allows recruiters to focus on referrers with a high quality level.

Q: How can a recruiter get the best referrer results?

A: You can get the best referrals by:

  1. Make sure the referral reward is attractive enough. Have look what other rewards are given for similar jobs (look at 'search jobs' on the GoozUp home page), and make sure your offer is competitive.
  2. Promote your job to referrers. When publishing a job you can send an alert to referrers. On this way referrers (with the profile you selected) can get started to find a candidate immediately.
  3. What about your own personal and professional network? Send a message to your friends and colleagues that they can earn a reward on GoozUp if they find the right candidate for you.

What are the costs involved for a Recruiter?

Q: What is the minimum amount for the Reward?

A: GoozUp does not set a minimum amount for a Reward.

Q: What is the total cost for recruiting a candidate through GoozUp?

A: The total cost will be the referral reward + 50%. The size of the referral reward is set by you and will be paid to the referrer who proposed the hired candidate. The additional 50% are fees for GoozUp.

If you do not find the right candidate (meaning you do not hire someone referred to you on GoozUp) you will not be charged anything.

Q: What will happen if I do not hire a candidate?

A: If you do not find the right candidate you can either:

a. Extend the period in which the job is posted on GoozUp.

Or:

b. Withdraw the job posting. In this case you will not be charged anything.

Q: What if I hire a Candidate (who was initially proposed to me by a GoozUp referrer) at a later moment?

A: As this candidate was proposed to you by a GoozUp referrer you are obliged to pay the referral reward plus GoozUp fees.

Q: What is a reasonable referral reward?

A: You are completely free to set the amount of the referral reward. However, the higher the reward the more chance you have that a referrer will spend time to find a suitable candidate. For the best results we suggest that the reward you offer is at least 5% to 10% of the yearly salary, and offer no less than £ 1000.

Q: When does the recruiter has to pay the Referral reward?

A: You have to pay the referral reward plus fees at the time you and the candidate sign an employment agreement.

Q: Does the recruiter have to pay the referral reward directly to the referrer?

A: No, GoozUp will take care of that. GoozUp will invoice you for the referral reward + 50% GoozUp fees, and will pay the referrer.

What is a Referrer?

Q: What is a Referrer?

A: A Referrer is a person who brings a recruiter in touch with a potential job candidate. When this candidate gets hired the referrer will earn the referral reward.

Q: Who can become a Referrer?

A: Anybody can become a Referrer on GoozUp.

Q: How does GoozUp handle privacy of Candidates?

A: GoozUp complies with EU laws regarding handling of personal data. GoozUp is registered at the CBP, an independent organization ensuring that personal data is handled with care and that privacy is guaranteed. Further GoozUp does not allow Referrers to submit CVs without the approval of the Candidate.

Q: What if a Recruiter hires my friend for another job (at a later moment)?

A: As the Recruiter found the Candidate (your friend) through the referral you made, you are still eligible for the referral reward.

Why become a Referrer?

Q: Why should I become a referrer?

A: If you like to help friends finding a job and if you like to earn some extra money GoozUp is the right place for you.

Q: Can professional recruiters join GoozUp as referrer as well?

A: Yes, professional recruiters can join GoozUp as well (both as Referrer and as Recruiter). GoozUp has a neat feature for them, allowing one combined Recruiter and Referrer account. With such an account you can publish jobs and place candidates.

Q: I like to help my friends, but do not want to earn money with it.

A: In this case we suggest that you donate your referral reward to a charity (and let your friend know you are planning to do so).

Tell me about the earnings?

Q: What do I earn?

A: Each job on GoozUp has a reward assigned to it. This reward will be paid to the Referrer who introduced the Candidate who was hired.

Q: When do I get paid?

A: You will be paid maximum10 days after GoozUp receives the payment from the Recruiter.

Q: What about the taxes?

A: The Referrer is responsible for declaring earnings (depending on local regulations).

Q: Who is paying me?

A: The reward will be paid to the Referrer by the local GoozUp business partner. For more information about the local business partner see ‘about us’ under the ‘what is GoozUp’ menu.

Q: Can I share the reward with the person I am proposing as a candidate?

A: Yes, you can always share the reward. However GoozUp will only pay the total referral reward to the Referrer. The Referrer is responsible for sharing it.

Q: Why does GoozUp not offer a possibility for Candidates to register?

A: GoozUp is a referral site, which means that Recruiters find Candidates through referrals. These referrals are made by friends of the candidate who can earn a referral fee. With this model GoozUp offers Recruiters access to better qualified candidates. At this moment GoozUp does not offer the possibility to apply directly to a job.

Q: How does GoozUp handle privacy of Candidates?

A: GoozUp complies with EU laws regarding handling of personal data. GoozUp is registered at the CBP, an independent organization ensuring that personal data is handled with care and that privacy is guaranteed.

Q: What happens to my CV?

A: GoozUp will only allow your CV to be transferred to a recruiter after your approval.

Q: How do I keep track of my application?

A: You will receive automatically an email message when there is an update of your application. Further you will be contacted directly by the recruiter if he/she wants to interview with you.
